Building Foundations: Our First Lesson Plan of the Season
The start of a new dance season is always an exciting time — fresh faces, returning friends, and endless opportunities to grow! At Soul 2 Sole, we’ve just completed our very first lesson plan of the year, and our dancers are already off to a great start.
This first unit focused on reviewing foundational dance skills — the building blocks that help our bodies get ready to move, stretch, and perform safely and confidently. From posture and alignment to coordination and rhythm, our dancers worked on strengthening their technique and reestablishing the muscle memory that sets them up for success all season long.
Beyond the steps and stretches, this is also a time to build classroom relationships — connecting with teachers, forming friendships with peers, and learning how to work together as a team. These early weeks are about creating a positive, encouraging space where every dancer feels supported, seen, and inspired.
We’re so proud of how our students have started the season, and we can’t wait to see all the growth, confidence, and creativity that unfolds as we continue to dance from the soul to the soles this year!
